An eerie fog enveloped Boston Tuesday. The fog rolled in off the bay and essentially shut down Logan Airport for several hours, as visibility fell below 'minimums' for instrument landing approaches. The fog persisted through Wednesday morning. This photo was taken from about 1200 feet over Waltham. In the foreground is Jamaica Plain, with the Prudential Tower and Hancock Building peeking above the fog in the Back Bay, center of photo. To the left is the Charles River Basin, the Fenway, and parts of Cambridge.
