Jamim Shah, chairman of news and current affairs channel -Channel Nepal - and largest cable operator Space Time Network, has died from the injuries he received after being shot in broad day-light in the capital on Sunday afternoon. Kathmandu, Nepal. 08/02/2010.

He was shot dead by two motorcycle-bound masked men in Lazimpat on Sunday. Shah was declared dead at TU Teaching Hospital Maharajgunj. His driver, Mathura Man Malakar, 60, escaped the attack with bullet injuries in his left leg.
Meanwhile Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal visited the
aggrieved Shah family at their residence in Panipokhari,
expressing condolence to the family and pledging quick probe and tough action against the criminals involved in the murder.
The shah's residence was fully crowded with the loved ones.
Government expressed serious concern that the incident took place at one of the high priority security zone of the capital (the place is quite close to the French, Indian and British Embassies and is only about a kilometer away from president's office in Shital Niwas) and gave strict instruction to the police force to nab the culprits behind the murder and solve the case at the earliest possible. They even suspect the involvement of "international criminal network" in the daylight killing of Shah.
