The Hyena spent the first week in a cave in the area of release with water and fresh road kill to help him get used to his new inviorment.
On the day of his release a carcass of Fallow Deer that was tagged in a different observation and died naturaly was taken to the Hyenas new teritory and was left on a rock bed with a camera observing it.
At first the Jackles came to check it out and later the striped Hyena came to feast on it.
The Hyenas return to nature was marked a sucses and his Gps collar was monitored via google earth and showed his movements around his new teritory
