Photoquai Biennale, an outdoor exhibition run by the Musée du Quai Branly, promotes the work of non-Western photographers. Paris, France. 17/10/2009
Photoquai Biennale was created in 2007 by the Musée du Quai Branly and is dedicated to non-Western photography. The event, held in association with other cultural institutions, runs from 22/09/09 to 22/11/09 on the Quai Branly, in front of the museum.
The mission of Photoquai is to develop and promote artists whose work remains unpublished or little known in Europe and encourage cross-cultural dialogue.
The second biennial Photoquai was organised by Anahita Ghabaian Etehadieh, the Iranian director and founder of the Silk Road Gallery.
For its second exhibition, Photoquai presents works by 50 contemporary photographers from around the world, represented in the collections of the Musée du Quai Branly: South America and Latin America North Asia, Oceania, Africa, Near and Middle East.
