Prize winning photo journalists arrested

Story:
The days following the election and widespread claims of fraudulence have seen a spate of government sanctioned arrests and disappearances of protestors, activists and journalists, of which the most recent cases involve the detention of Getty Images photographer Majid Saeedi and the unconfirmed arrest of Satyar Emami.
It was on the morning of the 11th of July that the secret police forcibly entered the flat of Majid and arrested him in front of his wife and children. He was taken to a secret location and his flat was raided, with the authorities taking into custody tape recordings and other personal possessions. Majid Saeedi has been the prominent photographer for nine domestic publications since 1998. In 2001, in collaboration with Time magazine, Majid covered the war in Afghanistan and garnered 4 prizes with Japanese news source Asahi Shimbun.
Satyar Emami, a fellow photo journalist disappeared sometime between the hours of Saturday and did not turn up for work on Sunday afternoon. His disappearance has been linked to that of Majid’s arrest.

عکاس سرشناس و سردبیر عکس ۹ روزنامه را در منزلش دستگیر کردند
در ادامه بازداشت گسترده ی فعالين سياسی و روزنامه نگاران از يک ماه پيش
و پس از انتخابات رياست جمهوري ايران صبح روزشنبه مجيد سعيدی عکاس خبری
در منزل خود بازداشت شد و نيروهای امنيتی برای بازداشت ساتيار امامی
اقدام نمودند. صبح روز20 تيرماه ماموران امنيتی به منزل مجيد سعيدی
مراجعه کرده و در مقابل همسر و فرزندان وی پس از تفتيش منزل و ضبط وسائل
شخصی او را همراه خود به نقطهيی نامعلوم منتقل کردند. مجيد سعيدی عکاس
برجسته ايرانی که سردبير عکس ۹ روزنامه از سال ۱۹۹۸ تاکنون بوده است.
همچنين ماموران امنيتی روز جاری برای بازداشت ساتيار امامی ديگر عکاس
سرشناس اقدام نمودند. اين درحال است که ساتيار امامی از ظهريكشنبه در
دسترس نيست و منابع آگاه از احتمال بازداشت وی سخن ميگويند. مجيد سعيدی
موسس سرويس عکس خبرگزاری فارس در سال ۲۰۰۴ بوده است، تجربهی همکاری با
مجلهی تايم در جنگ افغانستان در سال ۲۰۰۱ و همينطور همکاری با آژانس
گتيايميجز را دارد. وی برگزيده جايزه کاوه گلستان است و تا کنون چهار
بار جايزه آساهی شيمبون ژاپن را نيز از آن خود کرده است.
ساتيار امامی نيز از عکاسان خبری مشهور ايران است که تا کنون با بسياری
از خبرگزاری ها و روزنامهها از جمله روزنامه جامجم همکاری داشته است.
در مورد بازداشت وی هنوز اطلاعات دقيقی در دست نيست .
